Susan Abel

Susan (Sue) Abel is a Certified Shiatsu Therapist and Registered Nurse. Sue received her nursing training at the University of Western Ontario, and graduated from the Living Earth Shiatsu School in Toronto, in December 2006.

Combining her training and experience in mainstream Western medical care with shiatsu, Sue believes in a more holistic approach to health.

Sue credits her involvement with "Tai Chi," which began in 1990, for her initial interest in Eastern medicine - and it helped her develop a better understanding and perception of the subtle changes in energy ("chi") in the body.

She has been with the Clinic at the Living Earth Shiatsu School since its beginning in February 2007. Sue is a member of the Japanese Shiatsu and Holistic Medicine Society of Canada and is licensed by the City of Toronto.

Sue is currently taking post-graduate courses in shiatsu at Living Earth and is committed to further developing her awareness and compassion in this way. She is also engaged in volunteering shiatsu at a nursing home. New clients are of course welcome!
